By using WAGETru ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What WAGETru Is
WAGETru is a free, anonymous wage transparency platform. Users submit paystub data that is anonymized and published for public comparison. WAGETru is not a financial advisor, tax professional, or employer.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. By submitting a paystub, you confirm you are of legal age and are the owner of the paystub you are submitting.
3. Submissions
By submitting a paystub to WAGETru, you:
- Confirm the paystub is your own and you are authorized to share it
- Confirm you have removed all personal identifying information (name, SSN, address, bank accounts, employee ID) before uploading
- Grant WAGETru permission to extract, store, and publish the anonymized pay data
- Understand the original document will be permanently deleted within 24 hours
- Understand published data cannot be retracted once anonymized (since it cannot be linked to you)
4. Accuracy
WAGETru uses AI to extract data from paystubs. While we strive for accuracy:
- We do not guarantee the accuracy of any data displayed on the platform
- Tax calculations are estimates based on publicly available tax brackets and rates
- Data should not be used as the sole basis for financial, employment, or legal decisions
- Consult a qualified professional for financial or tax advice
5. Prohibited Use
You may not:
- Submit paystubs belonging to someone else without their written consent
- Submit fabricated or intentionally misleading pay data
- Attempt to identify individuals from published data
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute data from WAGETru for commercial purposes
- Use the platform to harass, discriminate, or retaliate against any individual or employer
- Attempt to access other users' uploads or private data
6. No Account Required
WAGETru does not require user accounts, logins, or email addresses. All submissions are anonymous. Because of this, we cannot recover, edit, or delete specific submissions on behalf of a user after processing.
7. Intellectual Property
The WAGETru name, logo, design, and codebase are owned by WAGETru. Aggregated and anonymized pay data published on the platform is made freely available for informational purposes.
8. Limitation of Liability
WAGETru is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:
- Inaccuracies in displayed data or calculations
- Employment decisions made based on our data
- Any damages arising from use of the Service
- Temporary unavailability of the platform
9. Content Moderation
We reserve the right to:
- Reject or remove any submission that contains personal information
- Remove data flagged as fraudulent or inaccurate
- Suspend access to the Service for violations of these terms
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States.
